Recreation Assistant (Golf)
About This Position
This position is located at the Carney Park Golf Course, MWR Department, Naval Support Activity, Naples, Italy. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the operation of the Golf Course Pro Shop.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:Six (6) months of general experience and six (6) months of specialized experience in Golf at the NF-01 level or equivalent OR two (2) years of education above high school that included at least 12 semester hours in courses related to the field. General experience: any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position. Specialized experience: experience at the NF-01 level (or equivalent) that is typically in or related to the work of this position.

To determine order of referral, qualified candidates will be evaluated in conjunction with the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (K.S.A.): Knowledge of the methods involved in various types of recreation activities that will enable employee to carry out a variety of assignments. Practical knowledge of a recreation environment or related field.
Ability to maintain records and reports. Ability to deal effectively with others. Capability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Major Duties
Assists with the operation of the Golf Course Pro Shop facility in accordance with MWR regulations and instructions. Provides accurate and current information to patrons about programs and tournaments. Implements principles and behaviors of effective customer service. Conducts daily equipment inventories. Files incident reports in a timely manner to supervisor. Notify Manager of any and all inventory items needing replenishment. Ensure each retail item has inventory tag Inventory number and retail price. Verifying and receiving (retail supply and ground maintenance equip).
Follow up, tracking and coordinating arrival of shipments. Submission of all order paperwork for payment in a timely and correct manner. Tracking of spending on both BPA (blanket procedure agreements) and PO (purchase orders).
Maintenance of BPA/PO database and files. Tracking payment and vendor information on SAP. Responsible for counting all retail items in golf pro shop every month. Assists in gathering and processing all data to generate accurate end of month reports including gift certificates that have expired, issued and redeemed, patron counts, Government vehicle mileage and fuel usage, monthly sales and golf rounds reports for submission to NRBO meeting all deadlines.
Responsible for submitting the PGA Golf Instructor contractor' s invoices, time cards and sign in sheets and other supporting documents for payments for the golf instruction contracts. Issuing, maintaining and processing of all Gift certificates. Weekly ensuring Tee Time sheets are correct and ready for use.
Responsible for accurately inputting the Circolo Golf Napoli Golf Society Annual Green fee memberships, club storage, lockers and electric club storage data and payments. Acts as POC when manager is not available. Oversee charity tournaments to include scheduling, organization, and assisting with implementing all tournament procedures and operation including the submission of all paperwork for payment to hosting charity.
May be required to assist with special events. Collects money from patrons and keeps a change fund. Is responsible for the Daily Activity Report at the end of each shift.
Education
