About This Position

Serves as an Assistant Business Manager in the Beverage Department of the Hale Koa Hotel.2025 Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for Honolulu, HI is 8.64%.This position will remain open until 05/18/2026 with a first cutoff date of 02/25/ 2026. Additional lists will be pulled at the request of the hiring manager .Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Minimum Qualifications:- Have a strong background in leadership, communication and organization - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Possess an extensive background in restaurant table service, beverage service & managing events. -Have managerial/supervisory experience supervising staff, enforcing operating procedures, conducting surveys, reviewing activity reports, recommending promotional activities, and revenue improvements. -Have demonstrated experience in managing cost controls in order to meet budget requirements. Highly Qualifying Criteria: - Possess three (3) years of managerial/supervisory experience (served within the last six years) in a high volume restaurant operation. - Have experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity in a unionized environment.

Major Duties

Assists in managing a high volume beverage program as part of a large full service food and beverage operation. Candidates must be customer service-oriented, experienced, and organized. In this position, you will play a key role in handling the day-to-day operations of the bar and staff.

You will supervise, train, and schedule employees.

You will ensure all health and safety procedures are met, and contribute to the overall success of the business. Assists in identifying problems and initiating appropriate corrective measures to insure efficiency within the business activity. Evaluates the success of programs in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission accomplishment. Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, develops activity financial plan. Monitors the procurement of all supplies and equipment for the activity. Recommend and enforces operating procedures. Represents the activity to the public.

Allowances and Differentials: This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
