Qualifications
MINIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E-8 MAXIMUM MILITARY GRADE:E-9 Your rank MUST be included somewhere within your resume. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Major Duties
Position Description #D0736000 The purpose of this position is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions which, because of their scope, volume and complexity are carried out by two or more organizational segments and layers, possibly during two or more shifts. Control and management of the work functions requires several subordinate supervisors. The occupation and non-supervisory grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Aircraft Mechanic, WG-8852-10.Performs other duties as assigned. DUTIES: (1) Planning: Plans the overall allocation of personnel and other resources to the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of their scope, volume, and complexity, must be planned on a yearly or longer basis. (2) Work Direction: Explains work requirements to subordinate levels of supervision, sets deadlines and sequence of operations. (3) Administration: Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by them. (4) Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. (5) Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.

(2) Area 2: Current On-board Title 32 Technicians (Tenure: 1-Permanent, 2- Conditional, 3-Indefinite) and Permanent AGRs in the West Virginia National Guard. (3) Area 3: WVNG Army M-Day and Air Force DSG (Drill-Status Guardsmen,) Temporary Title 32 Technicians, Temporary AGR (OTOT), and national guardsmen serving on Full-time National Guard Duty - Operational Support Orders (ADOS). (4) Area 4: Federal re-employable eligible employees, National Guardsmen outside of the WVNG, and U.S Citizens willing to join the West Virginia National Guard as a condition of employment.
