About This Position

This position is located in the Office of Support Services (OSS), Management and Operations Division (MOD), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and reports directly to the Director, OSS. Performs a wide range of technical and administrative support services duties and responsibilities that are essential to the efficient operation of the agency. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards. GRADE REQUIREMENT: This is NOT a promotion. Applicant MUST currently be at the grade level advertised. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. For the GS-12: Must currently hold a GS-12 grade level or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience related to the duties listed in this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major Duties

This is a Non-Reimbursable Detail Opportunity for six (6) or greater months. If selected, your management and branch must concur with the non-reimbursable detail. A MOU will be signed between your branch and the agency. RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE PAID. The Detailee of this position reports directly to the Support Services Supervisor performing a wide range of technical and administrative support services duties and responsibilities that are essential to the efficient operation of the agency, its mission, and in direct support of OMB staff across the White House Complex. There will be significant flexibility for the candidate to work with the Management and Operations Division (MOD) Support Services Specialist, and MOD leadership on a variety of issues within the areas of responsibility under the Management and Operations Division. Most notably: Assisting with the performance of a wide range of administrative and technical duties related to essential support services, programs and activities for the Office of Management and Budget. Supporting the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with various support services contracts that include, but are not limited to vehicle leasing and transportation services, commercial vendor parking, furniture and equipment, electronic media news and research services, maintenance and repair, and other miscellaneous support services. Coordinating with representatives from Physical Security and Facilities Management in the Office of Administration to provide overall support regarding various facility, occupant safety, and physical security program efforts within OMB occupied spaces. Performing other tasks as assigned. Interested candidates should be comfortable working on assignments which require coordination among a number of different parties and have a genuine interest in learning how the Federal Government operates from the perspective of OMB and the Executive Office of the President.
