About This Position

THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: United Stated Property & Fiscal Office (USPFO), Hartford, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel, assigned to the USPFO of the Connecticut Army National Guard.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 24 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management or of supply program management to perform recurring assignments, operations, and/or procedures dealing with supply issues and problems. Skill in weighing the impact of variables such as cost, existing policies and procedures , data processing requirements and other issues that influence the course of action. Knowledge of accepted methods, techniques, and standardized automated databases o search for and analyze information, resolve questions, prepare entries for supply record systems, and provide supply information, reports, and services. Knowledge to perform analytical assignments involving a specific issue associated with supply management or operations, or to study and recommend solutions for a segment of a broad study involving several issues or problems. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: For temporary promotions, the MOS and unit remains with the permanent position from which temporarily promoted. However, rank requirement must be met to avoid grade inversion. ??????? MILITARY GRADE (Prior to Application): Enlisted: E-5 through E-9 UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT: Any unit within the state SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) is a mandatory condition of employment, subject to availability of resources. NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC must be completed within 6 months of assignment to this position. Failure to complete course(s) may result in reassignment or termination of full-time employment unless extenuating circumstances preclude course attendance. CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: You will be required to serve a 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In determining if your employment advances the public interest, we may consider: - your performance and conduct; - the needs and interests of the agency; - whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and - whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service. Upon completion of your trial period your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

Major Duties

JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the position is to perform analysis of supply management procedures, services, and directives and to plan, organize, review, evaluate and perform limited supervisory responsibilities over subordinates in accomplishing the work of the branch. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to: Manage for Retail Supply Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) in for Material Management Branch. Develops and establishes controls to ensure that results of workload requirements identify systemic problems and enhance mission accomplishment. Participates with supervisor in carrying out the supervisory responsibilities of the branch. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets supply directives and guidelines to formulate and implement effective operating procedures to achieve optimum logistical support. Performs surveys and studies of branch supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods

Additional Information

Primary Change of Station (PCS) relocation expenses will NOT be paid. For M-Day/Traditional personnel who are currently receiving incentives to include Bonuses and the Student Loan Repayment Program, the following termination rule applies: Incentive Termination without Recoupment: If you accept a Military Technician (Mil Tech) Permanent position where membership in the National Guard is a condition of employment, your bonus will be terminated with no recoupment as long as you have served at least 6 months of the bonus contract following receipt of the initial bonus payment.
