About This Position
This position is located at Unaccompanied Housing Facility. The purpose of this position is to provide inventory management support to the lodging program.
Qualifications
One (1) year of work experience that demonstrates incumbent has a thorough knowledge of inventory and purchasing procedures, using computerized record keeping systems and basic safety including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Must be proficient with a calculator and computer software (word processing and spreadsheets) May act as APF or NAF credit card holder Knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. Sound working knowledge of the structure of the local supply organization and the organizations serviced Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing Must possess basic math and reading skills
Major Duties
Responsible for inventory supplies, furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E) and other amenities in support of the operation. Ensures security of all guests is maintained at all times. Ensures guest privacy is maintained at all times.
Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude; demonstrate effective communication skills; professionally interact with guests; answer guest questions concerning housing facilities; and provide information about local attractions. Provide assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary. Prepare purchase request forms/documents for approval and place orders for APF/NAF purchases.
Maintains assigned storeroom and is required to maintain a minimum of 98% inventory accuracy. Documents stock record cards and update them for receipts and issues. Receives items and forwards documentation of receipt to the verifying office.
Issues supplies and amenities to authorized staff members. Performs other related duties as assigned.
