About This Position

This position is part of the NNSA Savannah River Field Office (SRFO). As the Assistant Manager for Business, you will carry out the SRFO business management functions, develop strategic initiatives to effectively carry out Agency priorities, and maintain appropriately qualified capability on staff to support the various functions and duties of the business office.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Major Duties

As the Assistant Manager for Business, you will: Lead the Savannah River Field Office (SRFO) in developing, organizing, and implementing policies, processes, and/or tools necessary to administer organizational functions to include contractor performance management, records and directives management, human resources and training, awards and recognition, travel, and other business responsibilities. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to effectively carry out mission priorities and ensure they align and support NNSA's and SRFO's objectives. Oversee, plan, develop and provide programmatic direction to the Management and Operating (M&O) contractor to support complex and technical mission objectives and business functions.

Establishes program objectives, manages resources across diverse teams, and monitors technical performance. Interact and work with NNSA Headquarters, other field offices, internal and external partners and stakeholders to ensure mission objectives and priorities are met.
