Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: Degree: a bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Designing and leading research or program evaluations using rigorous methodologies.
Applying advanced statistical or qualitative analysis techniques to complex datasets. Translating research findings into policy or program recommendations. Communicating technical information clearly to senior or non-technical audiences.

Major Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Social Science Research Analyst , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Lead the design, execution, and management of complex research and evaluation studies, including experimental, quasi-experimental, and observational designs. Develop research plans, methodologies, and data collection strategies aligned with agency priorities and federal standards. Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced statistical or qualitative techniques; ensure data quality and integrity.
Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations and policy-relevant insights. Prepare high-level reports, briefing materials, and presentations for senior leadership, policymakers, and external stakeholders. Provide expert consultation on research design, methodology, and data interpretation across programs or offices.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience.
