SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT)

You will interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and other instructions to plan your work.
You will inspect damaged aircraft structures to determine the most effective repair methods.
You will disassemble and remove sheet metal and composite structures from aircraft.
You will lay out, cut, bend, and form sheet metal to fabricate and repair aircraft parts.
You will perform structural modifications to aircraft based on engineering updates.
You will precisely drill, fit, and rivet new or repaired parts during assembly and installation.
You will operate a wide range of fabrication machinery, including press brakes, shears, and forming machines.
You will finish parts by deburring, filing, and smoothing surfaces, applying chemical treatments as needed.
You will inspect your completed work to ensure it meets all quality and safety specifications.
You will train and mentor other mechanics, sharing your expertise to support the team.
