About This Position
This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to assist with Golf Pro Shop operations.

Major Duties
Performs most or all of the following duties, which are typical, but not all inclusive: Greets all patrons and assists them with any of their golfing needs. Rings up sales of green fees, carts, range balls and other services/merchandise in appropriate sales categories. Ensures all players are properly signed in, and all fees paid. Meets golfers during play to ensure receipts reflect the proper number of holes, as applicable. Explains rules, etiquette and any other information regarding the course. Exercises knowledge of items sold and demonstrates salesmanship abilities, explaining use of various products, assisting patrons in fitting wearing apparel or the proper choice of equipment when requested. May direct Recreation Aids NF-1 when additional range balls are needed. Collects and records various tournament and service fees. Helps maintain roster of various tee times under specified guidelines. Assist other staff and patrons in pairing up into foursomes for play. Travels by golf carts throughout course ensuring the pace of play and compliance with all course rules and regulations. Uses utmost tact and diplomacy informing golfers that they are not complying with rules, and what they can do to ensure compliance, correct procedures, and appropriate pace of play. Ensures that course is free and safety hazards at all times. Notifies management of any hazards immediately. Receives merchandise from storage area. Inventories and verifies shipments and stock items in accordance with established stock location procedures. Continually observe quantities of stock and replenish as necessary to maintain established levels. Rearrange stock and displays to accommodate new, seasonal, or fast moving items. Assist with periodic physical inventories. Maintains sales and cash handling regulations and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.
