About This Position

The selected candidate will receive a $1000 bonus after successful completion of the first year of employment and an additional $1000 bonus after successful completion of the second year of employment.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in one of the program areas to be managed OR experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Work experience supervising support staff in recreation programs. The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application. Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria. 1. Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising a team of 3 or more personnel 2. Proven work experience with a multi-facet program 3. Demonstrated skills with inventory, budgets, labor and cost controls Applicants that meet the Best Qualified criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. Major Duties
Responsible for the oversight of Outdoor Recreation, Community Center operations, RV Park, Rod and Gun, Leisure Travel Services, the Resale Lot, and WSMR MVD operations.
Plans and prepares annual operating budget, recreational programs, marketing requests, and staff schedules. Works independently and provides overall supervisory/managerial oversight of all cash handling/internal control functions and inventory.
Provides appropriate training on products, equipment and proper fitting of products. Responsible for all equipment/vehicles/rentals under program.
Responsible for oversight of maintenance and repairs as needed for all equipment within this program. Complete list of duties and responsibilities will be provided at the time of hire.
Perform additional duties as required.
