About This Position

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PROJECT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T0042000 and is part of the 107TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. This is a Temporary Position Not to Exceed 1 Year

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled.

Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. Must have knowledge of the organization, programs, mission goals, major issues, objectives, work processes, administrative operations and functions.

Must have experience with Records Management (RM) policies, procedures, systems, and governing directives sufficient to establish file plans, records disposition schedules and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory guidance; evaluate file plans and RM procedures; and train personnel in the full range of RM responsibilities. Major Duties

As a Project Specialist, GS-0301-09, you will serve as the Project Specialist, responsible for providing overarching support analysis and recommendations on one-of-a-kind and non-recurring projects/programs.

You will apply appropriate management analysis techniques, theories, concepts, and practices to plan, direct, and coordinate command efforts.

Education

If you are using Education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
