POLICE OFFICER T32

This position is located in Tucson, Arizona with the 162d WG. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct formal combat arms training and maintenance activities for the Security Forces Squadron and tenant personnel. Control and operate firing ranges; inspect, repair, and maintain ground weapons. To enforce law, maintain law and order, preserve the peace, and protect life and civil rights within the jurisdiction of the military installation. To oversee the work activities of Drill Status Guardsmen (DSG) assigned to the Security Forces Combat Arms function. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

Knowledge of security and security forces requirements, procedures, and tactics to support installation physical security. 2. Knowledge of firearms and tactics for employing them in emergency situations. 3. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures 4. Knowledge of applicable Air Force, Department of Defense law enforcement, and security rules, regulations, instructions, practices, principles and procedures, including force protection, integrated base defense, anti-terrorism, and physical security. 5. Knowledge of police officer procedures and operating methods to independently perform the full range of Security Forces activities, to include protection level resources, installation entry controls, armed responses and dispatch duties.
