Conduct waterside security patrols of U.S. Military, non-military, and foreign ships.

Perform protection duties to deter unauthorized access to installation.

Exercise search and arrest authority to apprehend suspects

Perform required lifesaving first aid in the event of an emergency.

Additional Condition of Employment: Within the first 2 years, Harbor Patrol members, must complete a swim assessment, Basic Maritime Officers course (BMOC), Advanced Basic Maritime Officers course, Rescue Boat Operations course, National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) courses-Basic Crew Member, Boat Search and Rescue and Tactical Operator, Boat safety course and MOT personnel qualification standard. Failure to complete the training requirements could lead to disciplinary actions. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
