A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience directly related to the duties described above to include the skill and knowledge required: Possess sufficient training and experience to perform the duties of a Plumber (Irrigation Systems), including the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of golf course irrigation systems and related equipment, as well as working from plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing, placement, slope, fall, and proper operation of irrigation systems and equipment. Possess knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems and pumping stations, as well as the installation and operation of various supply, disposal, and irrigation systems and equipment, including the ability to make necessary adjustments. Possess the ability to effectively interpret and apply plans and blueprints, utilize shop mathematics to lay out angles, arcs, and circles, and plan and lay out the installation and modification of various systems and equipment. Experience in using tools and equipment such as tapes, rules, hacksaws, hand and power pipe threaders, cutters, and pipe wrenches.

Conditions of Employment

Perform tasks related to the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of golf course irrigation systems and related equipment, ensuring proper operation.
Execute a full range of journeyman-level plumbing tasks, including estimating material requirements, marking openings, assembling pipe sections, and testing for leaks.
Utilize and maintain appropriate hand and power tools common to the trade, performing necessary repairs on tools and equipment.
Provide guidance to lower-graded workers when required, assisting them with their tasks and ensuring quality work.
Plan and lay out the installation and modification of various irrigation systems, interpreting plans and blueprints, and applying shop mathematics for accurate installations.
