Platemaker (Intaglio) Leader

As a Platemaker (Intaglio) Leader, you will: Prepare and maintain chemical solutions, tanks, filters, pumps, anodes, and regulating devices, and perform daily routine monitoring of plating tank parameters including temperature, pH, density, etc., as prescribed by supervisor, for electroplating nickel, chromium, acid pickling, electrocleaning, or deplating. Use appropriate blueprints, drawings, precision scales, hand tools, locates and enter lines used for processing, on altos, plates, and other engraved products. Create master plate back ups and altos.

Provide technical assistance and guidance to Plate Makers (Intaglio) engaged in branch operations, assist the Craft Foreman/Assistant Foreman in the distribution of work performed by those under their guidance, and when necessary, provide training to journeymen and trainee Plate Makers (Intaglio). Provide guidance to maintenance workers performing repair and/or maintenance work on equipment in area of responsibility and monitor quality of output and provides documentation for the administration of any quality control procedures.
