Overview

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Successful completion of an undergraduate Degree that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in fieldwork, which directly relates to CYS Services such as early childhood/elementary/secondary/special education, child/youth development, psychology, youth program administration, or closely related field. OR A combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to position (see above), plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normal acquired through the successful completion of the 4 year course of study described above. In addition, all candidates must possess: 1. At least 24 months working with child and/or youth programs. 2. Experience in child and your program administration. 3. The ability to plan and organize problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions. 4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English. 5. The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., walk, bend stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working indoors and outdoors.

Conditions of Employment
Serves as the Assistant Director for the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Parent and Outreach Services program by assisting in the planning, oversight and implementation of Parent Central Services.
Assists with the recruitment and hiring of qualified personnel utilizing Army Standard Position Descriptions.
Utilizes and monitors the Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) database to collect and ensures CYS Services information on patron, patron fees, enrollment, waiting list, funding requirements and program activities are current and accurate.
Implements an active program encouraging parent involvement, and providing parent education opportunities.
As a team member, helps implement procedures in assigned areas including fee policies, waiting list and child placement procedures, and registration/enrollment.
