About This Position

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D2577000 WG-5 / D2576000 WG-8 / D2573000 WG-10 and is part of the KS 184 Wing, , Kansas National Guard.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E1 through E6 Compatible Military Assignments: AFSC: 2W0X1 Must be willing and able to cross train into appropriate AFSC GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which has provided the candidate with the knowledge and application of mechanical and electrical principles and the skill to perform intricate repair and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic components and devices. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-05: Experience or training servicing and adjusting ordnance equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, assembling, and disassembling parts. Experience which has demonstrated the ability to identify and locate troubles by sight. Experience in the use of common hand tools. Experience showing the ability to follow written instruction. WG-08: Experience or training in dismantling, cleaning and reassembling various ordnance equipment such as; target detecting, arming, control, steering, power and propulsion units and devices. Experience which required the ability to diagnose malfunctions. Experience in hand tools and a limited number of measuring instruments. Experience in the use of a variety of test equipment, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and meggers. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials. WG-10: Experience or training in repairing, rebuilding, modifying, and testing a variety of major subassemblies. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components. Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.

Major Duties

As an ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, WG-6641-5/8/10, you will provide munitions support to the state and designated agencies in support of their taskings. Performs other duties as assigned.
