About This Position
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a OPERATIONS AND TRAINING SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0607000 and is part of the FACILITY ENGINEERS, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Qualifications
Military Grades: ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled.
Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. Must have experience formulating long and short range plans for the development of range facilities and the training areas. Must also have experience developing installation policies and regulations governing range safety, training, medical evacuation and other emergency procedures.
Major Duties
As a OPERATIONS AND TRAINING SPECIALIST (GS-0301-09), you will to manage and direct the activities of the Operations and Training Division assuring ranges, training facilities, training aids and devices are available to users of the training site.
Education
If only using education to qualify for this position: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.
OR
J.D., if related or COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level.
You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a four year degree in a related field. Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university.
You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
