About the position: The primary function of the position is to provide first line customer service and general office support to the Marketing & Publicity Office and Print Shop, of the 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan. This is Regular Full-Time position; Guaranteed 35 - 40 hours per week. Military Spouse Preference IS lost if selected for this position.

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in clerical, office work or accounting in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must have mathematical and organizational skills.
Must be familiar with personal computer applications such as Windows, MS Word, Excel, and the Internet. Knowledge of Mac OS, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Working knowledge of the Force Support Squadron facilities, services, programs and policies is highly desired.
Must possess basic computer skills, basic word processing procedures and function keys to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as invoices, entering data into a predefined spreadsheet or database. Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. Conditions of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Must possess a valid 4EJ driver's license.
Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical. To perform the duties of this position a CAC is required.
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Major Duties
Provides customer service to FSS Marketing & Print Shop customers via phone, email, and in person at the front desk. Primarily responsible for daily accounting duties such as operating the cash register and credit card machine to receive payments, preparing paperwork, making deposits, and recording transactions in online account system. Receives and prepares work order requests and invoices for FSS facilities and Print Shop customers.
Utilizes various computer software programs to include but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite. Maintains and regularly updates official filing system and continuity binders ensuring current and proper disposition of file plans and regulations. Supports the Digital Media Specialist in passport photo duties to include taking, editing, and printing photos.
Assists Graphic Designers with printing requests from Print Shop customers and FSS facilities as needed to include printing, cutting, laminating, and applying grommets. Responsible for the tracking and handling of all prizes, coupons, and gift cards. Delivers cross marketing materials and hangs posters at various FSS facilities.
Primarily responsible for maintaining, printing, and labeling the FSS magazine mailbox subscriber list and delivers to Post Office mailboxes and base kiosks. Monitors and maintains office supplies and promotional inventory items. Receives, collects, and distributes the office mail.
May operate government vehicles in execution of job duties. Performs other duties as assigned. *This is a drug test designated position.
