Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Qualifications

One year experience overseeing operation of a small retail establishment. Must be familiar with business mathematics and merchandising methods. Skill to process daily activity paperwork. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.

Major Duties

Assists Manager in operations of a Services activity. May oversee operation of a small Services activity with 1-3 employees. Assists and services customers with location, selection and purchase of merchandise.

Merchandises, displays and maintains appearance of assigned area(s). Ensures items are properly marked. Orders, receives and maintains sufficient stock to meet daily commercial sales requirements. Moves receipted material to assigned areas of location for stocking.

Advises manager of damages, out-of-stock and/or slow moving merchandise. Assists Manager daily with the day to day requirements of the activity. May meet with direct delivery vendors to place orders from commercial items for stock, maintains and stocks merchandise on sales floor and warehouse.

Assists in inventories, by counting all types and quantities of merchandise items during inventory. Recounts and searches storage locations to assist in determining basis for over/short or misplaced items. Ensures proper accountability and security of assigned area(s).

May complete the daily paperwork for the facility. May perform general housekeeping duties such as cleaning or dusting fixtures and merchandise. May sort and replenish merchandise. May maintain contact with vendors on customer needs and stock level of merchandise.

May assist in making work schedules, assigning work, and conducting training. May provide recommendations for employee performance appraisals and disciplinary actions. Ensures Compliance with safety, fire, sanitation, and security regulations.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
