About This Position
This position is located at the Child Youth Services Division, Family & Morale, Welfare & Recreation, US Army Garrison Daegu, South Korea. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job. Requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a passenger vehicle that carries 16 or more.
Major Duties
Serves as a Motor Vehicle Operator with responsibility for driving CYS owned or assigned busses or other CYS authorized vehicles that weigh more than 26,000 lbs. or carry more than 15 passengers.
Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips. Maintains control of and accountability for children and youth at all times.
Ensures children and youth know how to safely evacuate the bus. Practices bus evacuation following prescribed procedures with children and youth on a monthly basis. Documents all drills in writing.
Follows procedures to guarantee no child is left alone on the bus without adult supervision at any time and ensures all children have left the bus at the end of the route.
Routinely inventories and maintains bus emergency and first aid supplies. Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change) transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
Education
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma is required. Proof of education is required at the time of application.

Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system.
FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
