About This Position

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Mountain View Inn at Hill AFB, UT. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours weekly, and with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), and annual/sick leave). The purpose of this position is to operate motor vehicles with GVW of up to and including 7,000 pounds which are capable of carrying up to and including one ton. ??????? You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess a valid state driver's license. Must be skilled in all facets of maneuvering and driving vehicles in all types of weather.Must know the sizes and weights of vehicles and be able to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius and braking distances.Must have the ability to communicate clearly and be willing and able to assure work is properly performed.

Must have the initiative and judgement to make decisions of all kinds. Frequently required to handle objects weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally required to lift objects weighing over 50 pounds. Prolonged sitting and driving over long distances.

Successful completion of a security background (T1) check is required. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Major Duties

Operates a variety of motor vehicles including pickup trucks, carry al Is, sedans, ambulances, step vans and station wagons for carrying passengers and cargo, on and off base, through all kinds of traffic, across the flight line or over rough terrain, depending upon the type of vehicle being operated. Loads and unloads cargo by hand, sometimes assisted by others. Responsible for exercising normal caution in preventing overloading and in securing cargo to prevent damage or loss in transit and for the safety and comfort of passengers.

Determines shortest and safest routes. Observes safety rules and regulations

in addition to posted traffic controls and highway guide signs. Performs operator maintenance and washes down vehicle in compliance with established policies. Delivers freshly laundered linen and bedding to VAQs, VOQs, and TLFs.

Turns in soiled linen to Base Linen Exchange. Maintains a record of issued and turned in linen. Reports any discrepancies or losses to supervisor immediately. Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling all nonappropriated fund linen and bedding, shower curtains, towels, etc. for the operation of the Lodging Branch.

Ensures that all custodial employees have adequate stocks of linens necessary for proper accomplishment of assigned duties. Recommends when replacement linens are required. Maintains a system which ensures that all Lodging Fund bedding is properly controlled and accounted for.

The system must include but is not limited to maintaining location, conducting periodic inventories, and maintaining custody receipts for issued property. Ensures that NAF bedding is maintained in a ready condition or turned in for disposal. Works closely with the Custodial Worker Supervisor to ensure custodial worker (maid) personnel have necessary bedding and linen to perform duties.

Delivers and picks up supplies and equipment to on and off-base locations. Responsible for the proper storage of bedding and linen in buildings and vehicles. Areas must be kept clean and orderly. Maintains stock record cards for all NAF bedding and linen.
