About This Position

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is a military installation of the United States Army and is one of the largest military installations in the world. The salary listed is based on a full-time 40 hours per work week schedule. This position is Part-time/Seasonal, 30 hours per pay period. This position will be filled on a Temporary Not to Exceed (NTE) 1 year basis.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three months of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: providing customer service or assistance and following standard procedures. OR Education: High School graduate (or equivalent) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience and may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 3. Then divide your total credit hours of education by the total number of credit hours required for graduation as set by your high school. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Interpersonal Skills Oral Communication Organizational Awareness Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) positions within the last 52 weeks may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks.

Major Duties

Identify and report known or suspected problems, issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member, or other official.
Assemble students and monitor their dismissal and movement through the hallways/cafeteria.
Monitor lunchroom activities to maintain order.
Maintain order and safety in recess areas to prevent unsafe/dangerous practices.
Ensure students are safely entering and exiting school buses and students are placed on the appropriate bus when departing for home.
