Qualifications

Major Duties
Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public.
Registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdues and reserves, assists with interlibrary loans.
Reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials. Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
Provides technical services support in a variety of functions: basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials. Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated system.
Incumbent may be required to perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials Overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
