About This Position
This position is located in the Community Recreation Division of the Fleet Readiness (FR) Department, Commander Fleet Activities, Yokosuka, Japan. The purpose of the position is to provide event support for MWR Events Command Events and private party rentals to include delivery, set up, breakdown, and pick up services.

Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be willing and able to acquire a forklift and/or specialized truck license within 90 days of employment. Must have skill and knowledge to use basic and specialized tools. Possess basic organizational skills to fit a large amount of equipment in a limited amount of space.
Major Duties
Ensures internal customers such as Food and Beverage, Fitness, Outdoor Recreation, etc. are supported by providing deliveries, setting up, breaking down, and picking up of event items in support of MWR events on Yokosuka and Ikego bases. Provides logistical and physical support for large base events such as "open base events and concerts by building tents, stages, and setting up carnival games and air toys. Serves external customers such as Commands by providing deliveries, setting up, breaking down, and picking up rental items in support of Command Functions such as Change of Commands, Retirement Ceremonies, Command Picnics, Advancement exams, etc. Serves private party customers on Yokosuka and Ikego bases by providing event deliveries, setting up, breaking down, and picking up rental items in support of school events, holiday parties, birthday parties, etc. Palletizes, sorts, and organizes warehouse and storage spaces. Conducts monthly inventory of rental items, detects when items need to be repaired or replaced, and communicates the issues to the manager/ Operates a Forklift and trucks up to a 4 ton on a regular basis for deliveries, pick-ups, and storage organization. Cleans and maintains rental equipment before and after events to check and prepare for private rentals and base events. Conducts regular preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment including but not limited to tents, air toys, and carnival games. Ensures that customers are comfortable with self-set-up and breakdown upon delivery of items. Performs other related duties as assigned.
