About This Position

Qualifications

Basic Requirement: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position. For vacancies below the full-performance level of the position, the basic requirement will be evaluated on a developmental basis.

Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs.

Oral Communication - briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions. One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized Experience is defined as: administering and maintaining Subversion (SVN) and Windows Server environments supporting enterprise IT systems; developing PowerShell scripts and utilizing ServiceNow/API integrations to support system operations and change management activities; applying configuration and release management principles, including software baseline management, configuration control, auditing, and lifecycle maintenance; applying cybersecurity practices; and providing troubleshooting, customer support, communication, and problem-solving in support of IT operations.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties

Serves as Subversion/SVN Administrator and ensures backup/restore of repositories, dump/split/load of repositories, importing of files, recommends repository layout, sets general user policies, sets hooks for hard restrictions.

Ensures user account provisioning for access and reporting, adhoc reporting on repositories for audit and Subversion revision trouble shooting/commit conflict assistance. Ensures system upgrades are completed on schedule.

Designs client-side tools using PowerShell programming scripts/forms and integrates with IDEs.

Reviews and investigates security posture on SVN Severs via the Windows Events logs, and reports any issues

Provides assistance to Configuration Management and Release Management teams on tool setup and systems access

Executes license renewals for Configuration Management applications/tools.
