Qualifications

Intermediate level experience in Excel; Advanced Excel proficiency preferred. Ability to perform detailed analysis and interpret large amounts of data. AND Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a field related to the work of the position and one year of related experience; OR An appropriate combination of education and experience; OR Three (3) years of practical experience showcasing the required knowledge, skills. and abilities.

Major Duties

Manages a comprehensive retail inventory management program within MCCS SC Business Operations Division to maximize sales and profitability of the business units within the Division. Reports to the Business Operations Director. Executes and communicates Corporate and local programs to manage on-hand integrity, inclusive of cycle counts, Retail Inventory Management Application (RIMA).

May provide oversight for store replenishment team. Provides recommendations to store management on areas of opportunity and implementation of internal controls and loss prevention initiatives in the area of inventory management. Assists hands-on with backroom operations, which may include loading and unloading of trucks or pallets to ensure meeting of enterprise standards.

Coordinates inventory review schedules with management to ensure inventory accuracy, creating exception reports for areas requiring corrective action. Functions as Cognos subject matter expert to identify replenishment issues, gaps, and opportunities to improve business. Provides oversight for execution and maintenance of planograms (POGs).

Identifies potential loss due to issues with product rotation and vendor credits. Ensures that corrective actions are implemented on any inventory discrepancies noted. Maintains direct liaison with all managers and assists on inventory related problems.

Monitors inventory databases in inventory management programs and provide pertinent reports to managers. Analyzes problem areas in inventory management and provides necessary recommendations. Ensures that internal controls are implemented in the tracking and disposal of retail assets.

Mentors, trains, and leads by example. Maintains the highest service levels communicating with all stakeholders, including customers, associates, and all levels of management. Analyzes data using various software for key performance indicators, develops a thorough understanding of P&L statements, and prepares and presents associated reports.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Delivers a Dress Blue experience to all customers every day. Strongly promotes the cultivation of MCX corporate culture. mission, core values and promotes Marine Corps Community Services at the store level.

Supports teamΒ­ centric initiatives to enhance team member satisfaction. Actively supports established standards of the EEO program and prevention of harassment. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs. with assistance may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
