This position is located in the Enterprise Applications (EA) Directorate, House Information Resources (HIR), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House).

Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum: 1-5 years of relevant professional experience required. Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the position or an equivalent level of work experience is required. Demonstrated experience with Infor/Lawson S3 version10.0.11, LSF Security, Landmark 11.x, Informa Software (Image Quest), BSI, MHC Document Express, IIS, MS SQL, and Windows Server, or comparable experience.

Experience administering a high-availability, multi-server ERP environment in a production support capacity. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is strongly preferred. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, PowerShell, UNIX/LINUX scripting, Perl scripting, SQL queries, HR Talent and Landmark IPA technology and Security is strongly preferred.

Experience with AI preferred. Security Requirement: This position requires that the applicant obtain and maintain an applicable U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Major Duties

Job Summary: The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 800 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, child care, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.

This position is located in the Enterprise Applications (EA) Directorate, House Information Resources (HIR), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). The EA Directorate provides a variety of software system platforms that support financial and human resource functions, as well as the automation of service requests for the CAO and House Community.

This position serves as the HRIS Applications System Analyst. The HRIS Applications System Analyst supports the daily system operations, maintenance, implementations, enhancements, and upgrades of the US House’s current ERP Infor/Lawson application and supporting HRIS applications. The incumbent will act as a systems administrator and developer for Infor/Lawson version10.0.11., subsequent software release versions, as well as migration to other HRIS applications at the House.

These skills shall be used to support configuring the application and maintaining the servers and databases to provide the best Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) solutions for CAO customers and customer support units. The incumbent will work with other team members who help support the Human Resource Application Systems. Please note, this is a system administrator role, not a developer role.

Responsibilities include application development and system administration for Infor/Lawson and related HRIS applications. The position requires daily interaction with other House teams (e.g., Enterprise Operations, Security, Infrastructure, and Network Operations) as well as the HRIS business team members.

This position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.

This position has access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Application server administration, HRIS product installation and upgrade, monitoring and HRIS performance Perform tuning activities to improve application and database performance. Provide troubleshooting for isolating technical problems in the Infor/Lawson Application Architecture including Window Servers, SQL databases, .Net, and IIS Assist HRIS team members to analyze issues with customizations and interfaces, using Lawson 4GL, PowerShell, Perl scripting, UNIX/LINUX scripting and other programs Assist in planning tasks required to identify, install and test patches and maintenance releases for HRIS applications.

Install and test HRIS patches, bundles, and service packs, and migration of custom codes/programs. Provide knowledge transfer and internal training to HRIS team members. Work with HIR business units (Network, Windows, and Security Administrators) to build and deliver services in a stable and secure multi-instance hosting environment.

Assist with capacity planning, disaster recovery and load balancing activities in the hosting environment. Support production environments and events (outages and deploys) during regular working hours and specified off hours and create backups and refreshes of the instances. Performs other official duties and special projects assigned.
