About This Position

Qualifications

Required Work Experience 4+ years of progressively responsible HR experience. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role. Ability to interpret employment laws.

Effective communicator, strong organization skills, ability to train employees, handle sensitive/confidential information. Ability to deescalate heated situations. Knowledge of personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Working Conditions Sedentary Desired Qualifications Foundational classification knowledge - Foundational understanding of job classification, position structures, or compensation principles. Advanced Excel proficiency - Ability to use functions such as VLOOKUP, sorting, filtering, and basic data validation. High‐accuracy data entry - Demonstrated ability to maintain reliable personnel data.

Strict confidentiality - Consistent practice of discretion when handling sensitive information. HRIS familiarity - PeopleSoft experience preferred; other HR system exposure is helpful.

Major Duties

Consults with and provides guidance to SAA staff and leadership on Human Resources policies and procedures. Analyzes trends and metrics within the Human Resources department. Resolves moderately complex issues and addresses grievances. Collaborates with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. Identifies training needs for teams and individuals. Suggests and supports the implementation of new HR strategies. Other duties, as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's in HR Management or related field.
