About This Position
This position is located with West Point MWR Marketing. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be authorized if it is determined to be in the best interest of the government.
Qualifications

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Knowledge of general marketing, advertising, and merchandising. Ability to do the work of a Graphic Production Assistant (Marketing) without more than normal supervision.
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment required to design, print, cut, laminate, fold, draw, ink, letter, color, or shade illustrations, charts, maps, diagrams, posters or flyers. Ability to use measuring instruments required to design, print, cut, laminate, fold, draw, ink, letter, color, or shade illustrations, charts, maps, diagrams, posters or flyers. Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. to perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge of materials common to printing, reproduction and marketing trade. Ability to type 40 wpm. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Highly Preferred criteria includes four categories.
You must meet at least 2 of the 4 criteria below to be considered highly preferred: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or closely related field (ex-Marketing, Advertising). One (1) year of experience using Social Media and Creative Graphic Design using programs including but not limited to: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud. One (1) year of experience assisting with the production of marketing materials such as large format printers, folders, laminators, poster mounting, & high-volume printing.
One (1) year of experience in digital photography and use of a digital camera for marketing/publicity purposes. This experience and education (if applicable) must be reflected on your resume and transcript uploaded at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official.
All other applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection.
Major Duties
Operates print shop equipment such as color printers, scanner, duplicator, stapler, folder, cutter, laminator, poster printer. Makes minor adjustments and repairs as necessary, also requesting and approving service vendor repairs.
Receives detailed work orders from Marketing and other approved MWR clients via email or hard copy. Produces, distributes, retrieves and stores a variety of promotional materials, including signage, banners and steel-framed signs at roadside.
Establishes and maintains internal controls that prioritize and track work orders to meet deadlines. Prepares and distributes printing materials to MWR activities.
Operates an automatic digital camera; documents participation and features in events, ceremonies, etc. to be used by Marketing for electronic and print publicity.
Administratively assist and supports in Marketing/Community Events as directed; answers phones and perform clerical duties.
