About This Position
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Operations at Wright-Patt AFB. Operates a computer workstation to receive and convert job order data into formats suitable for production. The position includes paid holidays, annual and sick leave accrual, as well as optional participation in Group Health, Dental and Life Insurance plans, Retirement, 401K and Flexible Benefits plans.

Qualifying Experience: Must be proficient in Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and other popular forms of social media. Must demonstrate specialized experience which shows ability to design and layout high quality advertising, web design in a graphically appealing manner.
Must have intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, (specifically InDesign). Must have working knowledge of PC software packages to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Acrobat. Must possess the technical knowledge required for the safe and correct operation of all assigned printing and processing equipment.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the applicant's ability to plan and implement new and unique printed or web publications without benefit of established criteria; must be able to work under short deadlines and shifting priorities. General knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices required. Must possess written communication skills and the ability to perform basic math computations to process paperwork and perform physical inventories.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete all required background checks.
Major Duties
Operates a computer workstation to receive and convert job order data into formats suitable for production. Designs and prints a variety of work including but not limited to banners, posters, invitations, brochures, newsletters, business cards, programs, etc. Regularly uses computer-based design programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Assists in planning, developing, and implementing marketing programs and campaigns for the Force Support Squadron. Assists in developing marketing training programs for employees, on topics such as the marketing process, advertising strategies, customer relations and media techniques. Assists in conducting market research.
Maintains all FSS social media and digital marketing content and assists with creation of marketing content. Maintains online channels including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Flicker, Snapchat, e-newsletter and website. Manipulates, resizes, and creates marketing material to be used both online and in print.
Maintains current knowledge on emerging trends/technologies and industry standards that apply. Conducts routine checks on the 88 FSS website to include but not limited to daily audits/reviews of content on each page and coordinates with activity managers to ensure all information is up to date and correct. Makes recommendations to activity managers on appropriate online media mix and works with managers on cross marketing.
Uses industrial and office style print equipment and machines on a daily basis. Familiar with the technical characteristics, advantages and limitations of the production process like mass scale printing, copying, photo editing, scanning, etc. Ensures material required is available, or on order.
Prioritizes print orders to meet deadlines. Enforces OSHA and operating safety standards, especially use of safety equipment. Maintains equipment in peak operating condition by managing system resources.
Maintains the electronic file library. Attends events and takes photographs. Places advertising in appropriate media. Performs other related duties as assigned.
