About This Position

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, Position Description Number D2711000 and is part of the ARMY AVIATION SUPPORT FACILITY 1, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Qualifications

Military Grades: Enlisted GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position, knowledge of the procedures for issuing, receiving, storing, and inventorying fuel and the ability to keep accurate fuel records. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 18 Months specialized experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines.

Major Duties

As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER (WG-5413-10) you will oversee and perform operations for receiving, storing, transferring, issuing, and accounting for bulk petroleum products needed to support all training exercises/missions and the daily requirements of the Garrison Training Center (GTC). The purpose is also to provide direction to lower-level employees on how to build and operate tank farms and service stations. The organizational location of this position is within Joint Forces Headquarters, Army National Guard (ARNG) Garrison Training Center.
