About This Position

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is an Indefinite Reimbursable WS-2610-14 ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2800000 and is part of the MO TASMG Shop. This is a non-bargaining unit position. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT.

Qualifications

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - CPT (O-3) with date of rank after 09 February 2021 Minimum Military Grade - CW3 (W-3) with date of rank on or before 14 December 2024 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates your ability to provide technical assistance and organize assignments for subordinates; estimate materials and manpower needed for specific jobs; read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and technical publications; and maintain records and reports.

WS-14 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience or training performing, training and/or supervising assigned integrated systems repair and maintenance work operations; experience performing maintenance, repairing, and modifying integrated multi-complex avionic systems; ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel; ability to review work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines; ability to deal effectively with other people; and the ability to supervise through subordinate supervisors, or the potential to perform such duties; and adapt existing equipment and techniques to new situations

Major Duties

Serves as section supervisor, exercising supervisory responsibility over assigned integrated systems repair and maintenance work operations.

Supervises employees involved in the maintenance, repair, and modification of integrated multi- complex avionics systems.

Plans use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities and materials.

Establishes deadlines and priorities and work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors.

Determines the sequence, priority, and time for the performance of operations within the limits of broad work schedules and time limits.

Coordinates work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors.

Determines the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects.

Redirects individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work.

Participates with superiors in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work.

Supports and explains management programs to subordinates.

Advises and counsels workers on how to improve their performance and explains new work techniques.

Investigates and resolves grievances and complaints; notifies supervisor of serious matters.

Ensures safety and housekeeping practices are observed.

Investigates work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes; implements corrective actions, within authority, to resolve work problems.

Implements safety regulatory requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
