Major Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado is searching for a Division Chief for Narrowband SATCOM C-SSE (NH-0391-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent). Description: The 10th Space Operations Squadron (10 SOPS) is seeking a transformative and experienced leader to serve as the Division Chief for the Narrowband Consolidated-SATCOM System Experts (C-SSE) at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs. In this vital role, you will have the authority and responsibility for a team of experts in Plans, Operations Support, and Engineering, directly supporting deployed warfighters, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and other mission partners.
Your leadership will be essential in managing satellite constellation optimization, developing enterprise policy, and advocating for the needs of our narrowband users. This is an opportunity to shape the future of Narrowband SATCOM.

Specified tasks include: -Maintain and ensure updates are made to the MUOS P3 Manual annually -Ensure a formal MUOS training campaign is provided in support of the services & their components -Continue to provide updated MUOS SOPs and ensure associated training ISO the RSSCs/CCMDs -Advocate requirements & development for EMS, MST and EM&C -Direct OPLAN assessments ISO CCMD UHF/MUOS WCDMA supportability -Support MST development coordination efforts between NB C-SSE and MUOS PM SSC/CGN -Publish the UHF Catastrophic Loss Contingency Plan and UHF Satellite Optimization Plan as needed -Publish the UHF Shed Plan as needed -Prepare & manage overall NB Budget for ISO DELTA 8 and 10 SOPS POM -Collect and provide NB inputs to DRRS, JFRR, and IPL -Support other Branch-led efforts (e.g., CAN CONOPS, MOT&E deficiencies, Splunk, etc.) -Manage the CAN FMS efforts across span of IOC and FOC timelines Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for the Division Chief of the Narrowband SATCOM C-SSE is a proven leader with extensive experience in narrowband MILSATCOM and a passion for supporting the joint warfighter. This individual must possess a strong technical background in telecommunications, demonstrated supervisory skills, and the ability to foster a cohesive and highly skilled team. The ideal candidate must be able to articulate complex ideas into digestible executive-level products to enable decisions or common understanding.
A TOP SECRET security clearance is required. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. In-depth knowledge of telecommunication system management in order to conduct studies involving both long-range and short-range plans involving the management aspect of satellite communications.
- In-depth knowledge of satellite, network management, control, communications systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks.
- Ability to perform complex analytical work to include satellite communications functional analysis.
- Ability to perform trend analysis for SATCOM terminals and satellite segments and in operational evaluation, program management, planning, and execution functions for SATCOM programs.
- Ability to negotiate resolution of complex budget and financial execution issues.
- Ability to interpret and apply fiscal policy and financial rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Ability to executive complex projects and/or studies within established time constraints.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.
- Ability to advise senior leaders, Program Element Monitors and field-level representatives.
