Make professional decisions or recommendations concerning nutritional care and dietary changes. Provide consultation, in-service training, education and nutrition/diet counseling to the staff and patients. Conducts nutritional assessments of patients, developing care plans consistent with cultural, social and psychological requirements. Assist with development of policies and procedures related to nutritional prevention and intervention. Monitor and evaluate activities of nutrition and the special diabetes program for performance improvement. Other duties as assigned.
