Dentist (General Practice) - EDRP Authorized

As the Staff Dentist position you will be assigned to the General Practice Section, which is responsible for the diagnosis, management and treatment of oral/dental disease. This includes treatment planning, restorative dentistry and dental procedures generally considered within the purview of the general practitioner commensurate with their level of training. The responsibilities of the position include overall administrative and clinical responsibility for all aspects of the Staff Dentist's dental clinic(s). The Dental Service Administrative Officer and other members of the Dental Service will provide support as needed. You will work with the Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants and Dental Lab Technicians, and Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residents (AEGD) assigned to the Dental Service. You will coordinate assignment of responsibilities commensurate with the responsibilities expected of these individuals to maintain efficient clinic operations. You will perform all phases of dentistry including but not limited to restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics (nickel-titanium rotary instruments), CAD/CAM digital dentistry, and oral surgery. In addition, you will treatment planning dental implants, restore osseointegrated implants, design implant radiographic and surgical guides as well as read cone beam x-rays for treatment planning. Assessing, diagnosing and providing treatment and post-treatment care in all the above areas. You will provide oversight for community care consults of patients that are assigned to you, and respond to Message Manager and Secure Messages from your paneled patients.
