Qualifications
RESUMES MUST BE TWO PAGES (OR LESS). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. - Experience providing business applications and technology support to child and youth programs according to deadlines, policies, and budget.
- Experience in providing formal or non-formal educational technology programming for children and youth.
- Experience coordinating with teams and third-party entities (e.g., contractors) in the delivery, maintenance, and upgrade of IT systems and/or applications software.
- Experience in developing and providing IT training to adults at varying levels of proficiency.
- Demonstrated experience or in-depth knowledge of internet safety standards and the use of tools to filter content/restrict access.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present formal briefings, information papers, and slide presentations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, and Power Point. Highly qualified candidates will possess: 1. Experience in the use of business software utilized for childcare operations, such as Child & Youth Management System (CYMS), Child & Youth Enterprise Reporting Tool (CYERT) and CYS Annual Reports.
- Experience in working with partner organizations (i.e., Boys and Girls Clubs of America; 4-H) to support an integrated, comprehensive, educational technology program. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education.

Within the last five years, possess at least three years of work experience as a CYS Coordinator, CYS Program Operations Specialist, CYS Administrator, Functional Technology Specialist -OR- two years of experience in ID CYS or HQ, IMCOM G9 CYS Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, potential to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively Possess a general knowledge of MWR Programs, specifically in CYS Programs Possess experience in integrating technology throughout Child and Youth Programs
Major Duties
Serves as an IMCOM Child & Youth Services (CYS) Directorate Technology Specialist with responsibility for improving and supporting directorate/garrison CYS Technology programs and initiatives ensuring technology is integrated into all aspects of CYS operations. Serves as the CYS point of contact for business applications and management tools to include the Child & Youth Management System (CYMS), Child & Youth Enterprise Reporting Tool (CYERT) and CYS Annual Reports. Applies professional knowledge to oversee and support implementation of CYMS upgrades and new releases by coordinating schedules of contractors and Garrison staff, and ensuring attendance at refresher trainings.
Maintains a clear understanding of the implementation status of CYMS and the financial climate for each Garrison. Provides coordination on Directorate and CYS initiatives/concerns. Provides and facilitates comprehensive technical support to IMCOM Directorate CYS leadership and staff on the application and utilization of technology resources to support CYS programming.
This includes training and support for office automation reporting and management tools, advice and guidance on purchase of technology resources, and support to CYS facility construction and/or remodeling projects impacting technology requirements. Works with Garrison CYS Functional Technology Specialists to support an integrated, comprehensive CYS Technology Program to include non-formal educational programming. Provides support to Garrison staff in establishing, operating, upgrading, and maintaining Garrison CYS Youth Technology Labs to include hardware/software.
Links Garrison staff to partner organization resources such as 4-H/Cooperative Extension; Children, Youth and Families Research and Education Network (CYFERnet); and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Develops and implements Army-wide training in coordination with HQ IMCOM CYS staff. Assists the College of Installation Management with CYS course content and instruction.
Provides on-site training to Garrison staff during technical assistance visits. Develops special projects and initiatives in coordination with HQ IMCOM CYS Program Managers. Keeps abreast of current trends in program areas through research and professional training opportunities.
