Major Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson Space Force Base, CO is searching for a Cyber Security Specialist to support Space Systems Command/Delta 5 (OBN) (NH-2210-03, GS-12/13 equivalent). Description: Are you a strategic cyber professional ready to lead the charge in cybersecurity operations? The organization is seeking a dynamic Cybersecurity Specialist to protect mission-critical infrastructure and shape the future of our cyber operations.
In this role, you will be the crucial bridge between complex technical defense and strategic leadership. Translate complex technical requirements for non-technical personnel and brief senior officials on IT systems and capability enhancements. Lead innovation and continuous process improvement within the work center.

Direct and manage the daily activities of a dedicated VTC support team. You won't just respond to threats; you will drive innovation, lead secure communications programs, and forge critical partnerships across the Department of Defense, the United States Space Force (USSF) and local installations. Resolve conflicts and troubleshooting IT concerns through technical and strategic, persuasive consultation.

Ideal Candidate: A history of managing and supporting cybersecurity programs, and network security operations within unsecure and secure enterprise environments. Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of IT assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing IT projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.
Ability to provide rapid troubleshooting and technical resolution in direct support of active mission requirements. DoD 8140/8570 compliance at IAT Level III or IAM Level II/III, minimum of Security plus certification. 3+ years of specialized experience in incident response, secure communications/networks operations and experience/knowledge with secure video teleconferencing communications management and operations.
