Major Duties
Works under general supervision. Supervisor is available to provide information or decisions regarding problems that may arise during work. Overall work operations are reviewed for status and progress, quality, and guest satisfaction
Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment.
Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities. Must have the ability to follow instructions and read signs.
Must have a basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools, and equipment .Must know the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions, and must be able to remove different kinds of stains from surfaces.
Must be able to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor repair and maintenance of equipment.

Area of Consideration: This job is open to candidates who reside in Ft. Bliss, TX (El Paso) and surrounding area within 50-mile radius; in addition to, you are considered eligible if one of the following applies: 1) you live outside of this area and are able to commute to work on a daily/as needed basis, 2) you are able to relocate yourself on your own expenses, 3) you are an involuntarily separated military member, or 4) you are a military spouse/family member relocating to this installation. Eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsor's reporting date at the new duty location. Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. Salary Information: NA/NL/NS - Grade NA-02 : $18.04 to $21.05 Step 1: $18.04 Step 2: $18.79 Step 3: $19.55 Step 4: $20.29 Step 5 : $21.05 New FWS appointments will be made at the minimum step rate for the appropriate grade, except as follows: 1) Garrison commanders or equivalent are authorized to make appointments at the second step rate in recognition of special qualifications, skills, and experience of an exceptional or highly specialized nature. 2) Upon reemployment and reinstatement to a NAF position, the entrance salary may be fixed at any rate for the appropriate grade that does not exceed the rate paid during the previous employment. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Scheduling Information: Below defines the employment category for this position: - Part-Time (at least 20 guaranteed work hours per week (may be scheduled be scheduled between 20-39 hours per week) Work schedule to be determined after hire.
