About This Position
The Division of Trading and Markets, Business Solutions Office is seeking a dynamic technology expert skilled in modern cloud technologies for their Cloud Solutions Developer/Architect (Information Technology Specialist) position.
This position will require the rare combination of technical excellence, strategic vision, and exceptional collaborative and communication skills.

BASIC REQUIREMENT: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement. SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Architecting and developing secure software solutions for supporting modern applications/systems; Leading information systems development and modernization efforts; Performing customer engagement to identify opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; AND Securing software throughout complete product lifecycle including security engineering and operations. Technology Expertise: Knowledge of the principles and methods of specialized technologies, tools, and delivery systems, including security, risk management, governance, functionality, and user interface in area of expertise (e.g., programming languages, server, web, applications, network) Technical Communication: Translates technical information into non-technical terms and accurately convey technical information to end users (e.g., staff, management) and outside parties, including the technical documentation of applications, systems, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.
Major Duties
This role serves as the division's go-to authority for designing, developing, and supporting innovative solutions that address complex business challenges while maintaining the highest standards of software security. As the division's lead technology consultant, this individual will architect, design, develop, document, and implement new systems and update current solutions, driving forward with smart, secure, and forward-thinking technology strategies working collaboratively with the Office of Information Technology. In this role as a Cloud Solutions Developer/Architect, you will be responsible for: Serving as an authority , engineer, developer and consultant on diverse range of highly technical, complex, innovative technology and information security initiatives.
Performing technical collaboration, coordination, and overarching operational processes on multiple highly complex IT projects and strategic initiatives. Developing automated processes and continuous integration & deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. Designing, developing, and deploying secure cloud infrastructure, automated processes, and continuous integration using various technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Microsoft 365 stack, etc. to enhance the operations, installation and maintenance of specialized software and hardware supporting business operations.
Developing cooperative relationships working with customer teams and navigating and working through conflicting priorities from stakeholders, effectively accommodating unforeseen development and deliver solutions complying with terms of agreements. Providing insight and advice on digital customer experience and solve issues identified by the customer with creative innovative approaches. Reviewing and revising solution direction based on outcome of experiments and user based learning, to develop and research operational efforts that advance state-of-the-art software developments.
