About This Position

This establishes an open continuous announcement for a GS-560-9/11/12 which will be used to maintain eligible/qualified applicants to be considered for current and future positions within the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For the GS-09 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience applying fundamental principles, theories, or concepts of budget administration or financial management; or experience assisting with financial or budget administration services, such as planning, programming, budget formulation, justification, presentation, monitoring, or execution. For the GS-11 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience supporting financial or budget administration services, such as planning, programming, budget formulation, justification, presentation, monitoring, or execution; or experience monitoring, researching, or analyzing financial or budgetary data to ensure accuracy or identify trends or discrepancies. For the GS-12 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience independently identifying, analyzing, or resolving budgetary issues related to planning, programming, formulation, justification, presentation, monitoring, or execution; or experience utilizing financial systems or tools to research, analyze, or validate budgetary data.

Major Duties

Performs various budget functions involving the formulation, justification and/or execution of budgets for organizations, programs, or projects.

Analyzes organizations budgetary guidance.

Reviews, analyzes, edits, and consolidates budget submissions.

Education

GS-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. If you are using education to substitute for the qualifying experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply. GG-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.

equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. . To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.

You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education . Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application. Accepting this position, you may be required to serve a I-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement. This position may be designated as Mission Essential. Salary will be determined based on the duty location after selection. The salary listed reflects the 2023 General Schedule Base scale. Salary will be adjusted to meet the locality pay of the duty location upon selection.

The Department of Defense (DoD) policy on employment of annuitants issued March 18, 2004 will be used in determining eligibility of annuitants.
