About This Position
This position is located at Fort Gordon - Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation - Business Operations Division. The ability to instruct the game of golf as evidenced through completion or pursuing of the Class A PGA Certification, the requirements of which are stated in The PGA Constitution and Bylaws.
Major Duties
Assists the facility manager in the management of the Golf Activity.
Recommends and carries out instructions and directives as necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
Reviews programs to identify strengths and weaknesses.
Recommends or carries out corrective measures as appropriate. Evaluates success in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission accomplishment.
Reviews financial reports, plans, costs, and budget and ensures the safeguarding of the facility and assets. Assists the manager in the marketing and promotion of the golf activity.
Provides golf instructions to individuals and groups and assists in the scheduling and conducting of golf related activities and tournaments.

Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
