THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is located at the Arizona Army Aviation Support Facility 2 in Red Rock, Arizona. The AASF provides Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM), Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM), and aviation maintenance training for supported units. The purpose of this position is to act as the Aircraft Mechanic (Crew Chief) with responsibility for managing the operational readiness of one or more aircraft, and proficiency training of supported aviation unit personnel. Responsibilities include detailed technical oversight of individual aircraft's level of mission capabilities and projection of maintenance requirements to maintain individual aircraft operational readiness.

Ability to manage, monitor or perform overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance military aircraft. 2. Ability to makes diagnoses and solves malfunctions of aircraft systems and components by utilizing a wide variety of complex, state of the art computerized and/or non-computerized Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment. 3. Ability to ensures ACN and other aircraft documentation accurately reflects status and airworthiness of assigned aircraft. 4. Ability to perform in-process and final inspection of others' work on assigned aircraft and components and certifies by signature adherence to work procedures and quality standards established by applicable publications. 5. Ability to plan, develop and conduct proficiency training during the technician work week to a multi-faceted workforce comprised of Full Time Support and supported unit personnel.
